Air combat is done abstractly, and also in form of tactical bombardment of ground troops.
Both sides may choose different tactics which may affect the combat results.
Additional features include: weather, Kamikaze vs. carriers, battleship Yamato, strategic movement, US tanks and Japanese mortars support, supply and command control, US combat fatigue, recovery and replacement, and Japanese command appeals on ongoing strategy.
