Description

The game box has suffered noticeably from long term storage. It is quite grubby and scuffed, any split corners have been repaired with tape. Overall it is in an acceptable state, intact and fit for purpose.

The game contents are complete and in very good condition. They are in a perfectly legible and playable state. There is some minor foxing/staining to some of the paper components, the booklets have rusty staples. The counters remain unpunched (although the odd small section may have come loose) and sealed in a small plastic bag.

The battle of SALAMANCA is a Napoleonic operational game that simulates the historical confrontation between a French Army (known as the Army of Portugal) commanded by Marshal Marmont and an Allied Army, commanded by Viscount Wellington of Talavera, and composed of British, Portuguese and Spanish Troops. The Battleground lay a few miles south east of the ancient city of Salamanca, The battle was fought on the 22nd of July, 1812.
